Why do dogs dig holes – Seven secrets to stop digging problems Dog

It seems that every time you turn your head, your dog digs a hole in another courtyard. How can you stop digging dog before your lawn looks like a driving range artillery? In order to get your puppy to stop digging holes, you need to understand because it digs in the first place.

Why Dogs Dig

Here are the most common reasons for this problem dog behavior:

  • Some breeds, including terriers, labs, and dogs are more prone to digging.
  • He is bored or lonely.
  • It needs a cool in hot weather, or trying to find shelter in cold weather.
  • Primarily as a Terrier to hunt moles and other creatures that live in soil.
  • He attracted the smell of manure that you just used, especially when it comes to manure.
  • He can not resist digging into the ground just turned around in your garden.
  • If you are digging under the fence, you can groped to escape.
  • Canines instinctively Bury food. In nature, they come back to eat later.

How to stop Dog Digging

Once you've narrowed down the reason for the problem of dogs digging, it is easier to take measures to solve it.

1. Choose your race carefully before adopting a new pet. Although all dogs will dig, can avoid many problems by choosing a breed that is less prone to digging.

2. If your dog spends much time alone, he more than likely figure how to deal with, usually ways to find annoying. Your task is to provide something for him to do while you're gone to avoid a problem of dog behavior such as digging. You may want to consider hiring a dog sitter to spend time with him or take him to a doggie day care where he will play with other dogs during the day.

3. Provide adequate shelter for him. During the 'cold months, he needs a dog house or some kind of shelter from the wind. In the summer it needs a cool shaded area, so that they can escape from the hot sun. You may also want to provide him with a pool, so you can play in the water and keep cool.

4. When working in the garden, put out a sprinkler. When your pet begins to dig the loose dirt, turn on the sprinklers. You may also want to put on a timer so that lights up when he does not expect. This is very effective, because he thinks that the garden is to do it for him, not you, then he'll be less likely to dig when you're away.

5. Mix some chili powder with water. Use this mixture for aquatic plants and other areas you want to avoid dog. Canines do not like the smell of chili powder, and then tend to avoid the area. If this fails, try using ground pepper instead.

6. If your puppy is trying to dig under the fence, to bury wire chicken a couple of inches below ground.

7. Do not give him bones. Instead they give him a toy that you can stuff with food. Will remain busy for a long time trying to get food.

Stimulate Your Dog's Mind

Spend at least ten minutes a day of training your dog. You can enjoy time spent with your pet, and he'll enjoy learning new things. A good dog training course will help you teach your dog what he needs to learn.

Now it's time to start putting these tips into action to Stop Dog Digging problems.
