You punish your dog and making the behavior worse?
Most dog behavior problems are the result of fear or anxiety, which means that actually observe the behavior of your dog doing are triggered by fear or anxiety. You can not solve these problems by using penalty and you can not 'them train out '.
Here's an example:
If your dog is exhibiting increasing signs away when he sees another dog, like lunges, barking, growling or, and the behavior is based on fear, then punish your dog, physical or verbal, is only going to worsen the situation. We human beings tend to increase the penalty if the punishment does not work the first time. When the penis becomes very serious and may reduce the barking, lunging or snapping, but the definition of punishment only suppresses behavior, does not eliminate the behavior. If you eliminate the fear and anxiety behaviors through the use of harsh punishment then you are left with a 'time bomb'. A point that the conduct of fear or anxiety is likely to appear and with little warning and without predictability.
Here is a human example:
Take you are afraid of something – say, a spider or a snake. When you see what you can yell, freeze, run, or cry. If you hit, you kick or scream every time you reacts with fear to the presence of the 'thing', my punishment is going to stop you from anxiety or fear? No, of course it will not. You can reduce or change your reaction to fear now as always anticipate physically or verbally punished by me. It will certainly damage our relationship, you will find my presence and not be disagreeable more confidence in me. I am no longer sure of yourself and have moved into the area to be dangerous and unpredictable.
When we are working with the dogs we want all our communications are teaching. Punishment is not didactic. It does not tell a dog what it should do or help build repertoires of behavior. Moreover, it does, such as research science has shown over and over again, creating fallout many behaviors such as aggression, learned helplessness behavior and unhealthy attachment.
You could then say: "I do not punish my dog." But an event punisher or punishment is not defined by us, the dog trainer, or owner the dog. A punisher is determined by the dog to be punished. It is what one does something the dog will try to escape or avoid? If so then what you're doing is Punish your dog. Think about this the next time you shout or raise his hand or some other object to your dog.
If your dog's fear or anxiety-based behaviors problem so be sure to consult a Dog Behavior Counselor. Dog behavior qualified advisers are trained to deal with these types of behaviors. You may not be these behaviors to go away. The actual behavior you are seeing is motivated by fear or anxiety, and that requires a different approach than just training a dog to 'sit', 'Down' or 'stay'.
