The different stages of dog training
It is a common scenario – someone, perhaps one person or maybe a family, enter into a pet shop or shelter Pet. They hem and haw, pet and cuddle and do all sorts of exclamations. A few moments later, leaving with the dog "perfect" or puppy in tow, ready to begin their new life together. It can be a big dog or small dog, a dog older or younger than a puppy – the dog's idea of all "perfect" is a bit 'different. However, all dogs, large and small, young and old, can benefit from dog training. Puppy potty training can take your puppy a nice mess to a great roommate and beyond.
The beginning: Puppy Training
Most of the training for the Puppies is designed to make their best friends home. For the average family pet, training often do not go beyond that stage. Training your puppy to use a potty pad pee is one of the toughest challenges for the majority of new pet owners. For working dogs and competitive, this aspect of training is only the beginning. The most popular type of dog training (so popular, in fact, that many people do not even realize that they are training), includes things such as training your dog to walk home on a leash, and potty training your dog, and simple commands like "sit" and "fall" as well as basic social behavior. It 's easier to start puppy training at a young age, but if you buy an older dog, you can train with him or her. Dogs are happier when they know what is expected of them, and training helps to make these expectations clear. Training your dog is also a great way to strengthen the bond between dog and owner.
Competitive Dogs
The 'next step would be for training in the competition. Some owners use of dog training to teach their dogs tricks, like catching a frisbee command, retrieving objects, or helping with a freestyle routine. other dog owners use of training to teach them to run agility courses, pull sleds, or do other activities. This level of training requires a strong bond between dog and owner, as well as a subjective will. Puppy Training at this level is not something you can do once and then go on with your life – it requires daily practice and commitment. Many professionals see compete in agility trials or other competitions with their dogs have worked for years to conduct the training necessary.
Dogs work
An even stricter dog training is necessary for working dogs. working dogs to assist people in a variety of fashions – may be trained to sniff out drugs or contraband at airports, trained to assist the handicapped or disabled, or even trained as members of the police or military. Training dog required for these dogs often take months if not years. dogs are chosen from a young age to participate in this type of dog training, and often specific breeds are preferred because of racial characteristics. Only some of the dogs that start on this end of the dog training program to be successful enough to have a career as a dog work. Training can come in a variety of styles for a variety of purposes. Even so, nearly every dog and owner can benefit from dog training.
